Six months into switching to a pellet grill and glad I did. This model is big enough for my family. In researching pellet grills great updates from previous models. Pit Boss listened to previous models. I recommend this model. Love the sear plate and updated electronics .

Great value, good customer service. We had a problem with one of the probes not working and they sent out a new panel quickly. We live on the water in FL, and everything rusts. No rust on the grill after 3 months though. Have used it to smoke fish and pork, and BBQ burgers and chicken. Takes a little getting used to as it is our first pellet grill, but works great. App is basic, but does what it needs to do.

Great grill thumbs up PitBoss
This is an outstanding grill/smoker. My first PitBoss I’ve cooked everything on this grill really enjoyed smoked asparagus highly recommended this grill. A month after purchasing this grill just bought a PB150 tabletop, and trying the smoke tube.

Very well built. It can be assembled by yourself but attaching the legs is a lot easier if you have some help. This my first wood pellet smoker so I can’t compare it to any other. Set-up is very simple, I do wish the temperature control stepped in 10 degree increments instead up 25. Cooked my first Brisket in it today, along with some ribs

Works great temp can vary sometimes being 25 -30 degrees off but other then that it works did have the fire go out about 10 hours into a smoke which was a little worrisome.

I love pit boss grills in general! I love this model only thing i dont like is that it can take a little too fire up and to get too disired temperature!

Still early in my use of it. I’ve had great results so far though. Construction is a lot of work and isn’t a 1 person job. But smoking so far has been a blast. Highly suggest this much more affordable option to the other big name brands.

Overall I find this to be a great smoker for a beginner. However, I did and do have some issues. My existing issue, which can only be resolved through a redesign, is that I absolutely cannot see the display in bright sunlight. I don’t know if this is a function of the angle or the blue LED’s, though I suspect the latter or a combination. Though still difficult, I can see the auger and fan indicators okay without shading. I think changing the display to red LED’s would make it at least somewhat visible. Adding a cover to the display that acts like a shade when open would be the best solution to the problem. As to the issues I had, I am not sure if it was improper cleaning, the pellets, or both, but I did have issues with my third long smoke. In all of my previous smokes, I had used Traegar pellets, but in this smoke I used Pit Boss pellets (which generally have poor ratings anyway) and it wouldn’t stay lit. I had not yet emptied the ash because I could not get the ash tray out, so that may have been a significant contributory factor. I continued to have issues after a deep cleaning, but hadn’t cleaned off the air probe. After cleaning that and allowing time for a full cooldown, it finally worked properly with Traegar pellets again. I will try again with fresh Pit Boss pellets; at worst, they smoulder nicely in my bee smoker so they wouldn’t be a complete loss.
